Your ceremony, your way

Your wedding ceremony should be a reflection OF your relationship

As your officiant, my goal is to help you create a ceremony that’s uniquely yours. Whether you want something traditional, modern, or completely outside the box, you’ll have the freedom to set the theme, tone, and style that feels right for you.I’m here to guide you through the process, offering suggestions and support on how to arrange the ceremony. But in the end, every decision is yours to make, ensuring that your ceremony remains deeply personal and authentic to your relationship. Let’s create a moment that’s truly yours, a celebration that reflects the love and life you’re building together. The cost for a classic wedding is $525 and the fee for a micro wedding would be $395.

THe process

THe consultation

Our consultation is a chance to meet and design a ceremony that reflects your unique vision—whether traditional, contemporary, or a simple elopement. We’ll discuss all the key elements, from vows and ring exchanges to music and readings, using our planning tools to create a meaningful experience. If you choose to move forward, a $250 non-refundable deposit and signed online booking contract will secure your date and time. There will be additional fees associated with any venue located more than 100 km outside Waterloo Region ($0.75/km + accommodation fees if necessary).

ceremony planning

Next, you and your partner are encouraged to choose your own vows and special elements su readings, music, unity candles, or a rose exchange to make your ceremony truly personal and meaningful. If needed, I’m happy to guide you through the selection process or even choose the ceremony content for you.

Once you’ve finalized the details, please email me the content at least six weeks before your wedding. If you’d like a rehearsal, contact me to schedule it for an additional fee of $175.

After the ceremony

After your ceremony, I will place the Record of Solemnization (tear-off portion) from your Marriage Licence into a white envelope for you to keep. The rest of the Marriage Licence will be mailed to the Registrar General’s Office for official registration, though you will not receive any confirmation from the government. Please note that a Certificate of Marriage is not automatically issued—you must order it yourself through the Provincial Government website, where you can also find information on name changes. It is the couple’s responsibility to purchase the wedding licence and order the Certificate of Marriage.
